Dependability

Dependability is a key tool that we use in many different aspects of our lives. You never want to be know as that person who no one can count on, or is a flake, very unreliable. Dependability is in every act we do whether people realize it or not. It goes hand in hand for jobs, friendships, relationships, students. A company will not want to hire someone who they can't depend on.  They want someone responsible, loyal, and trustworthy, someone they know will get the job done. In friendships I know I personally want someone I can trust and know that if I ever need anything they would be there for me. Same goes for a relationship I don't want to date someone that I feel I can't depend on them for nothing. In the class room teachers depend on us to respect them well their teaching to be curiosity of others and so forth. Dependability is definitely a quality everyone needs to have or at least acquire over time. It will help you out in life as you go without you really knowing it. A simple act of being able to be the person that someone can depend on to help or just get the job done is always a good thing. Your the person people can look up by example a leadership role.

Honesty

Honesty I  feel is the most important value point in almost everything we do. Especially when it involves any relationship friendship, love, brother and sister, boss and coworker, teacher and student. If there is nothing but false pretenses what is the point of having a relationship with someone? Honesty is the key to any successful endeavor in our lives I feel. I mean I'm not innocent or naive everyone including myself has told a a lie, but I've learned sometimes it comes back to haunt you. Do I try to always be honest for sure, but sometimes I do know there are situations where a little white lie can spare someones feelings rather then the brutal truth for those with less tolerance on criticism. I have some friends who can't take the truth for nothing without being over dramatic so in some cases you just learn how to work with different people's personality and accommodate that friendship as best as possible, and even though they may not want to hear it, sometimes they just need to know it. I's just how you do or say things to them. Simply by telling the truth you never have to remember all the lies you've told the truth will set you free =).

Cherish the friend who tells you a harsh truth, wanting ten times more to tell you a loving lie.  ~Robert Brault

Planning

People can go about planning in different ways. Plan a night out with friends, plan a vacation, plan a move, plan a wedding, plan a lifetime of expectations. With planning it just all depends on the situation for me, I suppose. I do have plans for my future education wise and where I'd like to see myself in the next 3 to 5 years or so. As for plans to hang out or stuff like that, I'm more of a go with the flow type of person. I guess I just do things as they come. I know not to have that high of expectations for planning, because no matter how much you plan things happen. So you always have to prepare for the unexpected, allow room for errors. Planning is different for everyone, some people spend their whole lives with a plan and really don't know what to do when things go a stray. I'm basically taking it one day at a time and making some plans as I go.  Everybody has their certain styles, things that work for them. My go as it happens style works for me, taking things as they come. You miss all of what life has to offer when your busy planning every moment.

Goals

If you want to make your dreams come true, the first thing you have to do is wake up.  ~J.M. Power

Goals are something everyone at one point has. They're not always easy to detect and some of us still aren't even quiet sure of what they are. My goals have changed so many times, but it's all about the process of growing up and finding yourself. That in itself is a struggle, and the simple act of finding out who you are is a success. I'm still not sure of exactly what I'll end up doing, but that's OK. I've never been that person to sit around and not do anything. I want things out of life and I go for it full force. Ever I since I was 16, I started to work at my school in the student store and picking up different jobs. I always had a thing for retail, so my major was business. Over time I have thought of other possibilities criminal justice being a cop, the medical field being a nurse. Till finally one day I just thought about how so many people came to me about their problems and for advice. I knew I wanted to give psychology a try. So now here I am back in school, getting the education I need to learn as much as I can about psychology. With this field there is endless opportunities for careers. My goal is to go for my PH.d and eventually figure out what field of psychology I would like to enter. I know we all tend to stray from our goals and life can happen differently but no matter what I won't give up.
